Scientist Warming to Paleo Diet

My experience with Paleo has been very similar.  My coworkers thought I was crazy watching me chug down almond butter, chicken, eggs and veggies all day.  They kept asking how bad my cholesterol was with the amount of eggs and fat I was consuming.  A few weeks ago we were offered free Health Screenings at work.  So out of curiosity I went in for the tests.  My numbers were pretty off the chart, in a good way.  The registered dietician who was there to offer consulations to people said she hardly EVER sees someone with a higher HDL (good cholesterol) level than LDL (bad) and said based on all my numbers, whatever I was doing…Keep it Up.
My coworkers on the other hand all were told to get their HDL levels up…booya!

I know the transition to a full Paleo lifestyle is tough, heck Chris and I still dabble in this Paleo-ish thing.  But learn to make healthier choices and eat REAL food.  Avoid processed foods and certainly fast food.  But don’t feel too bad when you have a cheat meal now and then.
